Time Travelers: Highland Lawn Cemetery

Discover some of the who's who of Terre Haute's past at the Time Travelers Tour of Highland Lawn Cemetery, Tuesday, May 16th, 6:00-7:30pm.

Learn about Highland Lawn Cemetery's history, burial traditions, and lore. Designed by Adolph Strauch in 1884, the 139-acre cemetery was created to be a park-like setting for the visitors of the deceased, with winding roads, rolling hills, and picturesque landscaping, becoming the final resting place for many notable individuals of the city's past.

Please plan accordingly, as this tour is outdoors and mobile; uneven surfaces can be expected.

All attendees must RSVP with the History Center. Non-members must contact the History Center to purchase a ticket ($7) before the tour.

Attendees can park along Highland Cemetery Main Rd.
The tour will begin at the main gate at 6:00pm.

Time Travelers is FREE for members of Indiana Landmarks and the Vigo County History Center. Additional attendees are asked to pay $7, which goes to future Time Travelers events and programming. Admission for non-members can be purchased at the History Center or online.
